Questions
Which aluminium window is the most energy efficient?
In this range the 120 narrow-frame casement, the 120 integrated-sash casement and the 120 motorised windows have the lowest factory Uw, about 1.2 W/m²K. Standard non-thermal frames are about 2.1–2.2. See thermally broken windows explained.
Casement or awning: what is the difference?
A casement is hinged on the side and swings open like a door; an awning is hinged at the top and pushes out from the bottom. Both seal tighter than sliding windows, and in this catalogue most casement series can also be made as awnings.
Do you make double hung windows?
Yes. The 105 thermally broken double hung gives the look of a traditional sash window for period homes, with an aluminium frame.
Can you match existing window sizes for a renovation?
Yes. Every window is made to the sizes you give us, to the millimetre. Measure the opening (not the old frame), and we confirm the sizes on the shop drawings before production.
