Windows for Adelaide's climate
Adelaide is NCC climate zone 5 with very hot summer days and cold winter nights, so it rewards both shading and insulation. Thermally broken frames and low-E double glazing help with both.
For Adelaide we usually suggest thermally broken casements, an 80 series sliding door, and double hung windows for villa and bungalow renovations.
- Stone-fronted villas often keep the front windows and get new aluminium at the back. We can match frame colours across both.
- Sunrooms and glass rooms off the back of the house are popular for winter sun. See the sunroom range.
